Sustainable Investments: Investments in CDM/JI projects with identification of target countries, Germany

In view of tightened up directives governing EU emissions trading, an international energy supply utility is planning to secure access to CO2 certificates by committing investments to CDM / JI projects. The Consultant is engaged to conduct a country-by-country analysis to identify countries and regions in which a portfolio of projects should be put together. For this purpose, both the technical and economic potentials of CDM/ JI projects are determined. National framework conditions on political, economic and investment aspects as well as regulations, guidelines and rulings for infeed to the grid from power generation facilities are checked.
