Sustainability

We are constantly working on improving our environmental performance. As all our staff members started their career in the energy/environmental sector, we know how important the economical and considerate handling of non-renewable resources is. Environmental protection is put first at Dr. Langniß – Energie & Analyse.

Mobility

All staff members commute by public transport or by bicycle. Conferences over web and phone are the default option when communicating with our partners and customers. By doing so, we reduce business travel to the required minimum. When business travel is required, we prefer to travel by train and other forms of public transport.

Energy

Our entire use of electricity is drawn from renewable resources in Germany. By installing LEDs, we save 1,114 kg CO₂ per year corresponding to a reduction by more than 60% compared to the previously installed fluorescent tubes. Energy-saving electric devices such as printers and smart thermostats are helping us to reduce our power consumption and to heat more efficiently.

Resources

The use of eco-friendly office paper results in a saving of 7.5 kg wood, 19.3 kWh power, 107.8 l water and 16.6 kg CO₂ with every 500 sheets of paper compared to conventional office paper (according to manufacturer). Wherever possible and economically feasible, we buy from local suppliers.

Nutrition

Our employees can also enjoy a variety of organically and regional grown fruit for free.

Waste

Recycling our waste is done according to municipal standards.

Knowledge

We promote the dissemination of free knowledge about Wikipedia as a member of Wikimedia Germany e.V.
